Germantown Jewish Centre is available to host your simcha, conference, meeting, or party. The staff at GJC is experienced in helping families plan celebrations in a relaxed environment and within a budget that is appropriate; facilitating conferences so they flow smoothly; and making meetings as comfortable and convenient as possible. We make every effort to simplify the planning process so that you may focus on what is most important to you – enjoying a lifecycle event with family and friends, or accomplishing your tasks in a meeting. We strive to be as helpful as possible, so please feel free to contact us with any questions.

GJC has a wide array of rooms to meet your needs:

The Charry Sanctuary

The Charry Sanctuary, with both flexible and set seating, can hold up to 1,100 people, The carved wood of the bimah and the fluted glass windows provides a beautiful setting for your wedding.

The Marcus Auditorium

The Marcus Auditorium is ideally constructed to serve all the major cultural and social events of the community. Located on the upper floor of the building, it extends the entire width of the structure. It contains a well-equipped stage and dressing rooms. Adjoining is the kitchen, with complete facilities for both meat and dairy food service. The auditorium has adequate seating capacity for 350 people seated at tables. This hall provides a perfect setting for the many joyous affairs that make our lives meaningful.

The Silver Kiddush Lounge
The Silver Kiddush Lounge is located on the mezzanine floor directly above the main entrance. It offers conveniences for small weddings, receptions, and other social events with a capacity of approximately 80 people seated at tables. Direct communication with the kitchen on the floor above is provided by means of a service elevator, and a bar has been installed for dispensing of food and drinks.

The Maslow Auditorium
The Maslow Auditorium is an attractive room, seating approximately 65 people, located on the mezzanine floor, directly above the chapel. Its pleasant informal atmosphere is ideal for small social affairs and meetings.

The Temin Canteen Room
The Temin Canteen Room, located just off the playground, is an attractive, informal space that seats up to 104 people. With a separate kitchen attached and easy access to the playground, this room is great for children’s parties and teen dance parties.

Quitman Library & Classrooms
The synagogue library has strong collections of Judaica and children’s books, as well as fiction and nonfiction best sellers. The Quitman Library, with its bay windows, is an excellent location for small meetings and study. The library and classrooms hold up to 35 people.
