Friday evening services at Germantown Jewish Centre are a lively and wonderful experience. The service begins at 6:00 pm (6:30 pm during daylight savings time) and is led each week by a different volunteer. We sing all of the traditional prayers (without instruments) and there is a lot of spirit from all who attend. Rabbi Gordon generally teaches a brief insight and text between Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv. The service takes about one hour and is a wonderful way to make the transition from our work week to our Shabbat experience.
